Works well with LCD TVDec 22, 2008

Just ordered 4 more of these and depleted the merchant's stock at 1/3 of the cost of comparable product. Tried a generic ir receiver (no filtering) and another plasma-proof receiver from Audioplex (too much filtering). The latter one didn't work with MCE remote. This one works with all of my remotes. Takes a while though (tens of seconds) to "learn" to the interference upon powering on the LCD TV. This is documented behavior. Unit is small and inconspicuous enough so placement is not an issue. Plug can be cut and wires can be spliced with existing system. Wires are very thin but stranded and strong so still very easy to work with.
