Good stand for large projection/flat screen TV's, Great price!Mar 13, 2007

This is a very good quality TV stand of metal and glass. The metal is properly painted and sturdy, and the glass is thick and of high quality. It's well packaged for shipping, and it takes only minutes to set up. Amazon's price is hard to beat!
The lower shelf is at a fixed height, and since there's no middle shelf it offers plenty of height and adequate depth for a big A/V receiver, and it's wide enough for most everyone's components. The overall height of the stand is lower than most, which works well with a larger TV, say 65" or bigger.
The only complaint I have...and it's a nit...is that the tiny plastic cushions to insulate the glass from the metal aren't up to the task for the top shelf. Under the heavy weight of the TV they or the glass squirts out. I just tossed them, and have had no issues with the glass sitting on the metal frame.
It would be nice if Amazon also stocked the black version of this stand which the manufacturer makes. Most black TVs and black A/V components have metallic trim, so this one's aluminum color paint never looks out of place. But I can see that the black stand could look better in some decors.
