yes, wirelessApr 12, 2009

"are we having fun yet?"
I had no problems with the wireless reception. I carried them around the yard and they worked at the farthest point. Just over 200ft. Normally they will be at 60ft from the source. I was concerned about the loudness and the sound quality. They sound good, more bass than I would have expected. I can get them too loud for my application. Either on the deck or at the firepit. Had to turn them down so we could talk. The only issue (explaining the 4 star) is, sometimes, when you adjust the volume you may hit the power/standby button. And sometimes only one speaker goes off. Then they are out of sync. Hit the power again and one goes off and one goes on.. so forth and so on. or if the one that did go off comes back on the volume is low and the one that stayed on is still high. The best thing to do is turn them both off with the switch on the bottom and start new. The battery life is about what I would expect. It looks like at least 8hrs at a reasonable sound level. This was in about 35-40 degree temps. They do come with power packs for each speaker so if I am using them on the deck I may just plug them in to the wall. They aren't picky about the sound source. I was running them off an Ipod, a computer, and a stereo system and it worked the same. The Ipod had to be turned up fairly high. I haven't tested the weather resistance yet. But they seem to be well sealed. I figure at some point mine will be buried in snow, but I expect them to give me no trouble. They blend in with other rocks and ground cover. I have the Slate color. They hide well.

wireless?Jul 02, 2008
By K Gun These speakers had so much promise, solid build and blended in to my garden flawlessly. Wireless connectivity with the transmitter from 50 feet to less than 10 feet away in plain sight of the speakers and awful or worse no sound at all. Tried all channels, new batteries, plugged into ac outlet...waste of money. My advice...buy wired speakers for your outdoor use, you won't be sorry.

By Michael C. Schuler The unit is to hard to turn on when the speakers are more than 30 Ft. appart. And the volume control on the remote does not allow the speakers to operate at a low enough volume.

Not Very HappyMay 26, 2009

Not very happy with this item at all... UNOBSTRUCTED is key... If you walk between the speaker and transmitter the signal cuts out. Other than the signal cutting out and battery life the speaker sounds good...Going to return and exchange for the non-wireless version.

The Worst Wireless SpeakersJun 06, 2010
By Derrick Witcher I have heard from several sources that TIC was a good company to buy from. So, I thought that these speakers would have any flaws in them. Of course, I was wrong. These speakers only worked in ONE of the output ports in me stereo receiver. Furthermore, the sound quality was terrible! They had a static sound that would always be heard unless you changed the channel every 2 minutes. Plus, the lowest volume which these speakers could go was surprisingly loud! I have decided that these speakers aren't even worth keeping. So, I'm going to return them and buy some speakers from Polk Audio. I wish I would have done some more research before buying these crappy speakers!!
