Surprisingly worth the money!Jun 16, 2009

So I just received this and used it the first time. I also ordered two Stereostones in case these did not work out. A few things to note:
1) These cost less and were much more realistic than the Stereostones. The "granite" stereostone looks more like black paint splattered on paper mache, than a rock. This TIC version looks the part.
2) The TIC warranty is only 3 years -- Stereostones are effectively lifetime. Too early to say if that is a factor or not.
3) This weighs less and seems less substantial than the stereostone. Still, it appears to be weathertight.
4) Sound is pretty good. I can't fully assess because I realized my initial implementation was underpowered. But the guests were impressed.
I think this appears to be a pretty good buy so far.

Love this speaker, first one I got had only one channel working, but they replaced it fast. Has excellent sound.
