Does not work as advertisedMar 12, 2007
By Scott C. I bought this to use on 3 portable DVD players that my familly uses as well as other electronics(was hoping it would work on a digital camera, radio, and other stuff), BUT, it would not power any of the electronics I tried.
None of the DVD players would power and the Digital Camera would power, but not be usable from to low of a current.
I am sorry, but I am very dissapointed in this device and think they that they need to definitly improve on it to make it compatiably with more stuff!

Works great for my portable Sony DVD playerAug 18, 2011
By Dennis I bought this battery to extend the life of my DVD player for long flights. The internal DVD battery only lasts about 3.5 hours. But I am normally in the plane for over 6 hours. Wen the internal runs out, I plug in this unit. It actually runs the player while recharging the internal bttery. I have been using it for several years with no problems at all, until this week. The battery is still fine. The only issue is that the power plug adapter fell off, probably when I put it away in the plane. The adapters are necessary to make this a universal battery. However, I recommend that you either tape or glue your selected adapter onto it to avoid this problem. I am now trying to get another adapter set. Or I will just buy a new battery. It is worth it.

Manufacturing IssuesJan 06, 2010
By Gadget Geek :) A friend asked me to look at his ER-DVD Battery because he was having difficulties with it. It would work sometimes and not others, a slight bump could easily stop it from working and the LEDs didn't always accurately display the charging status. As part of my troubleshooting I took apart the unit, examined every thing closely and discovered that the manufacturer failed to solder in the wires on the top of the circuit board.

Problems with chargingMar 09, 2009
By Sconnie I was headed on a long trip and bought this battery so I could use a DVD player for a big portion of the travel. Unfortunately, after the initial charge, I could not get it to charge again. I called the manufacturer, and while the battery is under warranty, I have to pay to ship it to the manufacturer and also include a check for return shipping.
In short: money wasted.
