Good torch, if it lasts...Mar 29, 2010
By Indrek Kelder I bought it in Dec 2009. 1st impression was positive - good price, nice solid feel, good light for its size (could use perhaps just little bit wider angle) etc. Unfortunately i could use it only twice before it stopped working. As i live in Europe and sending it to Hawaii for repairs and back costs almost the price of a new torch, i contacted customer service in order to find some solution (send it through some local rep, send me spare parts etc.). After couple of e-mails they no longer answered. So i had it disassembled at nearest electronic workshop. Their 1st reply was "did you make the electronics yourself?" LOL. Workmanship in that area was really sloppy. As main chip and some other components were fried, i had them whole circuit replaced. Now i have only Off/100% functions instead of Off/30%/100%+"low battery 30%" functions but at least it works.
So if You live in US or anywhere else close to them, then give this torch a try - good value and good build. But as reliability sucks and customer service do not take any extra steps for You, then anywhere else in the world this purchase might be gambling with your money.

By M. Palmer I have had the opportunity to use the Supernova on a number of dives in Little Cayman last year. It works well as a video light on night dives and can be used to highlight smaller objects / marine life on day dives. The wide angle produces about a three to four foot circle of light at ten feet or less. The construction of the light is high quality. Be sure to completely rinse and dry the sea water off of the light before unscrewing the port for a recharge of the battery.

Great light, good valueJul 26, 2011
By K. Tucker I think these are great lights, and have two of them, about 80 dives each. Have never had a problem. I have another light, from Fisheye, that cost twice as much and has already been rebuilt twice after a total of maybe 40 dives. Very solid, I think you could drive a pickup truck over it without any damage to the light. Good beam pattern. I do macro photography, and use one for spotting creatures [lousy vision] and the other as a focus light.
I do see one weakness though. The two o-rings on the charger cap are very thin and, for me, prone to breaking. It's good to get a few extras from Intova, as you'll not find this size anywhere, except perhaps from an o-ring distributer. Small price to pay for what seems to be a bulletproof light.
