Simple but useful productSep 10, 2009

We use the Tripp Lite product to connect to our KVM infrastructure. Instead of buying the USB version KVM modules ($50.00), we buy the $15.00 Tripp Lite converters. Works perfect.

PS2 to USB ConverterNov 25, 2008

I bought this to convert PS2 mouse and keyboard to USB and since rear USB ports are at a premium on the Vostro I saved 1 port. I bought this particular converter based on numerous reviews from Amazon, Dell, etc. It works perfectly and I haven't noticed any dropped keys etc. that reviews for other converters complained about. Definitely recommended.

Does not faithfully pass all keys to operating systemJan 01, 2010
By Daniel Colascione I like to use capslock as a modifier key. With a USB keyboard directly connected to the machine, this works fine. However, going through the PS/2 adapter, caps-lock-as-modifier-key only works until the first keyup. So, say you press caps-lock + f (meaning in this case, alt + f). The operating system will see caps-lock+f. Then you release f and press g. The operating system then just sees a plain 'g' where it should have sees caps lock + g.
I can't use it like this.

Does not work with MultiMedia extended keysDec 28, 2009
By O. Riday This product works well with any standard PS/2 keyboard and mouse. Since this is all it claims to do and this is all you want then I would give it 5 stars. However most newer PS/2 keyboards have extended media keys such a volume, play, etc. and application launch keys. This adapter will not support these extended keys. IF you are looking for the extended media key support then look for an adapter that specifically states that it supports the extended media keyboard features.
Love these period!Mar 14, 2012
By Hk These adapters ALWAYS work. Bought some cheaper adapters and it's a risk if they work and continue to work as time goes on. These are a bit more expensive but always, always, always work.
