I bought this keyboard from another company, china is pumping out lots of these so brand name is a non factor they are all the same. The batteries that come with the keyboard are near garbage so put in some fresh ones. I bought this keyboard primarily cause I was looking for something totally silent. It is totally silent but you will quickly notice that you have to press down firmly on each key to register. Forget trying to type quickly it just does not respond accurately enough. If you do not press near dead center of the key you get nothing, its been pretty frustrating, but if you have the patience to get used to it and don't mind pounding on the keys your good to go.

I use rechargeable batties so my experience is average. The thing you have to know though is that rechargeables are a different voltage than normal batteries and once you have depleted and recharged for some months they lose some voltage making them weaker batteries. Anyways enought about that.

I have found that it loses connection early and often whether they are new, old, or rechargeable batteries. I have had it lose connection over a simple blanket flopping over the keyboard. All in all this keyboard is good if you absolutely want wireless silent/flexible. However I've been using my wired silent silicone for a while now and my Tripp collects dust. I guess it wasn't a "gotta have it" after all.

Original batteries were already dead, so installed new high quality batteries and they lasted about 2 hours of actual use time. I am a fairly fast typist but found the key angle and response times inadequate unless one is a hunt-and-peck, two-finger typist.
After the 3d use, the USB transceiver and keyboard would not pair, so it is now a floppy, two piece paperweight.
The battery/electronics compartment is adequate but not user friendly in that the pairing button is underneath the keyboard and does not lend itself to simultaneous pairing (required by instructions to press the transceiver and keyboard buttons together).
Given today's technology, there is no logical reason to use "old school" batteries that are unreliable and large when there are hi-tech, flat, and even rechargeable alternatives available. A USB charging/docking arrangement would not be inconvenient to power users that are expected to have periodic, long sessions at a stationary location. Plug in to the keyboard and laptop/notebook and continue to work while the battery charges for another 6-8 hours worth of power.
As it is sold now, I definitely would not recommend this keyboard to anyone else and will continue to search for an adequate, flexible keyboard to carry with my laptop.
