Works fine for some devices BUT will NOT power my iPhone 3Gs or iPod touchAug 23, 2009

This is a light and handy battery pack that will power a variety of USB charged devices like the Sony PSP and most small cell phones. However, neither my iPod Touch nor the iPhone 3Gs recognize and accept power from this battery pack (the IMP500, search this term on Amazon, does work for both of these products-- which are apparently a bit more power hungry than average).
