A little annoying to remove the cardsJul 23, 2008
By J. Li The product stores the cards comfortably in a nice aluminum housing, but when you go to remove a card, the hard foam that holds the card in place, starts pulling away from the aluminum housing. It just means that you have to hold one finger on the foam while pulling the card out with another finger. It's annoying, but manageable. The case itself seems to open a little to easily, but as long you're not fiddling with it, it stays shut in your bag or your pocket.

No other case I'd useMar 15, 2008
By Bryce Leo These cases are well built and really hold onto the cards well. And slides into a pocket easily and withstands up to quite some abuse.

no frills case . . .Feb 05, 2010
By trebe This aluminum case has rubber inserts molded to accept CF cards, and should provide good general protection. The fit is tight, so the cards won't fall out, and there are provisions that allow for easy removal. The case appears to be dirt, dust, and moisture resistant, but is definitely not waterproof. It should withstand normal wear and tear, but probably won't stand up well to hard direct impact. There is play in the hinge, which means that the two faces of the case can slide, and not always seat properly. The covers are held closed by a metal clip, and it is a little hard to pry open the case with just one hand, and quickly access the cards.
This case does an adequate job, but is rather plain looking, has a kind of a `cheapie' feel. Hakuba and Pelican, make cases that are more stylish.

Vanguard CF Mem card holderOct 03, 2009
By Snakeman I love this item. I had to glue down the rubber insert because when you try to remove your memory card the insert starts to come with it. But I used a glue stick to glue it down and now it works great. The case seems strong enough to withstand abuse. I don't plan on running it over with my truck so it is durable enough for me. It is not waterproof so don't go scuba diving with it, but it should protect your memory cards if you get stuck in a rain storm. I like the fact I can put my memory cards in 'face down', thereby telling me which ones are full. All in all I would reccommend this item. (I bought 2)

Not that greatApr 14, 2011
By RayH Fit and finish of the case is questionable. When closed the case is loose and has a lot of slop. Cards are seem secure in the molded rubber. Feels cheap and would not recommend.
