By BigBowman Received sooner than I thought and very happy with purchase. Very sturdy and good for old school speakers that actually weigh more than ten pounds.

By Wilbert P. Gaston I've had this item now for maybe 6 months. I like it. It's sturdy, looks good, & was easy to assemble. It's a great size for the speakers i'm using. No complaints at all.
Alternative to SanusAug 07, 2011
By Harry Joseph I first started looking at Sanus Speaker Stands until I noticed their shortest stand was 22 inches off the ground. I wanted some speaker stands that would be close enough to the ground, not too close, but close enough so that the Base would not dissapear into thin air. These stands fit the bill at only 8 inches off the ground. Assembly was easy and compared to my "Cheapo" stands that tend to wobble whenever I nudge the speakers on top, these are solid as a rock. The strong heavy base reduces vibration although I'm not a vibration freak like some stereophiles. These are the best speakers stands and the best looking ones I have purchased so far for my set up, which consists of two main speakers and two auxiliary speakers to increase the sound stage. I don't beleive in surround-sound, because I think it gives you an artifical sound stage. Have you ever been to a concert where the music is coming from North, South, East and West ? No it mainly comes from straight infront of you.
Pretty darned nice and made in USA!Feb 10, 2011
By dog41 After buying Sanus stands I was not happy yet, so I bought these. These made me happy. I could still smell the poly from the factory when I opened the box. They are nice for the money. Nothing fancy. Just simple and well made. Love the wood. Had to trim the top plate to fit speakers. Just carefully saw off any that sticks out after marking them (before attaching them to base) and sand and stain the exposed wood with oak stain. Solid.
Solid, no-glue assemblyJan 16, 2011
By Jack Pine These stands are quite solid for the bookshelf speakers I use. They went together easily and without glue. I was glad to see that the spiky feet are optional and alternative rubber feet are provided for the bottom of the stand and the shelf where the speaker sits. These can be placed as needed depending on your speakers' dimensions. I bought these to elevate some bookshelf speakers off the desktop and get them around ear level. Very satisfied.
