Replaces PA-4 Series AdapterSep 15, 2009
By Paul A. Fucito

I have an old PSR-32 keyboard which came standard with Yamaha's PA-4 adapter (which I fried in the early 90's). A Yamaha rep told me to replace my burned-out PA-4 with the PA-150 and sure enough the PSR-32 fired up for the first time in years. I know many folks have been looking for a PA-4 replacement and there are few, if any, sites that actually list which one works. Stop guessing and get the PA-150. This is the model Yamaha officially suggests to replace the discontinued PA-4 so why take chances with other adapters that may damage your keyboard?

Not YamahaNov 29, 2011
By Amazon Jams The Yamaha PA150MM Keyboard AC Power Adapter sold by Amazon (as opposed to a vendor partner) is not a Yamaha part at all. The transformer is the one pictured, but there is no picture of the label that would make clear that this is a generic product.
Having noted this, I must admit that the transformer apparently works with my keyboard. However, the cord on the adapter is no longer than two feet. It is so short that the adapter cannot lie flat on the floor from a keyboard stand at seated height! Fortunately, I have an outlet near the keyboard close enough for the adapter to reach, and since the keyboard is stationary against the wall, I am not concerned.
This is one of the first times that I have been disappointed with the misrepresentation of an Amazon-storefront product.

We lost our adapter for my dx505 keyboard. Bought this as a replacement. Works great! And, it is small than the original!

A necessity...Apr 24, 2010
By Michael MacGuinness ...that should have been included with the keyboard. Not much more to say... it is a power adapter and it works.

AC Power Adapter - Yamaha KeyboardDec 28, 2011
By EAJ This item has to be purchased separately -it was not included with the Yamaha keyboard my wife and I selected as a gift for our daughter - which common sense dictated was a must have rather than depending on batteries. This turned out to be a good decision because batteries aren't included with the keyboard either and our daughter was able to plug in the adapter and start playing right after opening her gift.
