Extremely Useful Charging SystemAug 06, 2008
By hdtravel Use it to charge all kinds of different devices using tips to match each device.
Perfectly regulates the juice for your particular device.
Now you only need one charger to charge all your devices. Very Nice.
I use it on my Apple iPhone 3G, Amazon Kindle, Samsung phone, and a Motorola PEBL phone.
Highly recommended !!

Fails After 6 MonthsApr 09, 2010
By D. Christensen This is the second universal wall charger that I've purchased from iGo, and both have failed after around 6 months. The first one lasted 6 months, and the second lasted 7 months. Both of them failed exactly the same way: the charger and tips slowly lose their effectiveness at charging my phone / iPod until eventually the receiving device does not recognize the charge at all. I thought maybe the receiving device inputs were dusty or wearing down, so I brought my charger and tips into Radio Shack to isolate the problem. As soon as they tested a new charger and tip on both my phone and iPod, the charge worked perfectly. Radio Shack was good enough to exchange the charger and tips, and I thought I'd stick with the second set - perhaps I just had a faulty charger or tip the first time around. The second set has exhibited the same problem, with the iPod tip lasting longer than the phone tip. Whether the problem exists with the tips or the charger is irrelevant; the unit as a functioning set fails.
If you're interested in a quality charger that reliably functions over time, then look elsewhere. The build quality is poor and it is obvious that these were not made to stand up to time and continual use.

Good OEM replacement; helps consolidate your travel cordageJun 22, 2010

I purchased this on a recent road trip when I left my mobile phone's OEM AC charger behind.
While there is not much obvious difference (other than price) between replacement AC chargers, the iGo AC adapter/charger for mobile electronics, the iGO has unique flexibility that make it worth considering over others:
-First are the interchangeable charging tips. Buy a single charger, and it accommodates a variety of swappable charger form factors (I also purchased charging tips or an iPod Nano and a Bluetooth headset).
-Add an iGo Power SplitterSplitter, and you get the flexibility of being able to charge two devices at the same time.

Not a good productAug 11, 2011
By iphone_bb_user I carry a blackberry for work and an iphone for personal use when I travel. The iGo wall adapter seemed like a good solution to minimize the adapters that I need to carry. I picked up one of the wall adapter, an iphone tip, and a blackberry tip about a year ago. I bought at a retail store, so all in was about $40, $20 for the wall adapater and $10 each for the plugs. Amazon shows a price as of this review of about $20, which is much more reasonable.
I don't reocommend buying this product and I had four issues with it that are reflected in my review:
1) The initial tip that I bought for my iphone was defective and had to be swapped out for a good one 2)iGo includes a very flimsey clip that attaches extra tips to the unit's cable. The clip is flimsey and fell off with the blackberry tip attached, so now that is lost and it would cost $10 at a retail store to replace it. 3) the tips are super expensive for what they are and when the clip that holds them falls off, you're out the cost of the tip and have to buy a new one to get use out it. 4) For some reason when I charge my blackberry the wall unit makes a buzzing noise. So far nothing has happened, but the noise is audible from across the room and I'm concerned that it will either catch fire or ruin one of my phones.

UnreliableMay 18, 2011

In theory these are wonderful - compact and versatile. I have had two of these - the first failed after a month of use. I thought this was a fluke so I got a new one. It too failed - after only two weeks. Use your money elsewhere.
